The Center for California Real Estate asked me to write an article about a novel lobbying tool that housing advocates can use to help reduce opposition to and generate support for the construction of new and affordable housing developments.
My story about this new approach appears in the recent inaugural issue of The Journal of Case Study Research™: A Publication of the Center for California Real Estate (and subsidiary of the California Association of REALTORS). To read the story, please click here.
Although the article is written for California audiences, the innovative lobbying approach it describes could be implemented in housing markets across the country.
The new journal is published by the California Association of REALTORS®’ Center for California Real Estate, an institute dedicated to advancing real estate knowledge. According to the Center, the case studies collected by the journal present various solutions from key experts with a clear point of view—supported by research, data, and personal experience. The ideas range widely, but the common denominator is a solutions-based approach to ensure California’s sizeable affordability problem is addressed from a variety of perspectives.
I am pleased to be part of the inaugural issue of this important publication.
